Welcome to MAA, Maritime Security Training!
We are pleased to be able to offer MAA, Maritime Security Training this winter, beginning 27Dec, 2026!
This training is designed to train cadets on the foundations of Maritime Security and Law Enforcement. Cadets will be taught the process for conducting Navy and Coast Guard missions to conduct security operations ashore and underway. This course is taught by USCG Boarding Officers, USCG Investigators, US Navy Security Forces, and current/retired Police Officers. The training starts 27 December at the W.E Skelton Center (775 Hermitage Rd, Wirtz, VA 24184).
Travel Notes: Check in time is 1000 at the 4H center, Reid Jones Lodge. Graduation is at 1000 on 05 JAN. It's the second building on the right in the main road coming in. Flights must arrive at Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport or Lynchburg Regional Airport. We encourage other modes of transportation as well such as AMTRAK into Lynchburg, VA Station. Pickup will be at 1030 on 27DEC. Dropoff will be 1300 on 05JAN. Those needing to fly, please report travel details to the COTC ASAP. If your flight goes outside these perimeters, please contact COTC.
