LT Gabe LaMartina, USCG

Commanding Officer

LT Gabe LaMartina, USCG currently serves as the Commanding Officer of Marine Safety Unit in Saipan in the Pacific. He was first a Boatswain’s Mate and then lateralled to Yeoman before attending OCS. As an officer, he has served primarily in Los Angeles and San Francisco. He has been in the Sea Cadet program first as a cadet and then as an officer in the NSCC. He has served as COTC of Small Boat Operations in Central, VA since it first started in 2013. 

ENS Drew LaMartina, USCG

Executive Officer

ENS Drew LaMartina is a USCG Reserve Officer based in Baltimore, MD performing Emergency Management. He was formerly in the Army as a medic and then in the VA Air National Guard in the field of Cyber Security. He was also a former Sea Cadet in Virginia and has been an adult volunteer since 2012. He has years of experience in electronics and mechanical maintenance within industrial settings and on small engines.

BM1 Kiran Rajaram, USCG

Operations Officer

BM1 Kiran Rajaram is a Boatswain’s Mate in the Coast Guard currently serving at the Gulf Strike Team. Current duties involve humanitarian, CBRN, and environmental responses. He offers a wide variety of experience in underway operations, law enforcement, and mechanics. BM1 was involved in the Small Boats class held in Seal Beach, CA in 2019 and served as the OIC of Small Boats Training in 2021-2022.

CAPT Enid Brackett, USN(ret)

Logistics Officer

Captain Enid Brackett (RET) served as a Naval Aviator and Foreign Area Officer during her 25 years in the US Navy. She is a former cadet and is the Commanding Officer of RDML Grace Hopper Division in Leesburg, VA. 

INST William Farias, NSCC

Safety Officer

INST William “Papi” Farias is involved with the Sea Cadets in North Carolina for over 15 years and has been involved in the Small Boats, Marine Mechanic, and RIVRON training for over 10 years. He is retired Coast Guard (Port Security) and is also a retired police officer. He was previously elected as a local Town Commissioner.

INST Dom Leahy, NSCC

Division Officer

INST Leahy is currently an Army Cadet in ROTC and has been part of the training since 2019. 

INST James Hall, NSCC

Engineering Officer

James Hall currently works as an automotive mechanic and manufacturing technician in the nuclear field. He was a sea cadet for 5 years and attended small boats and RIVRON in 2016. He has years of mechanical repair experience in manufacturing, automotive, and marine fields. 

MASN Jake Vu, USN

Officer in Charge, Master at Arms

MASN Vu is a Navy Master At Arms assigned to the Harbor Patrol Unit at Naval Station Norfolk. He specializes in waterborne security ensuring the safety and security of over 60 Naval Vessels and 67,000 personnel aboard the installation. He has been involved in the Small Boat Operations School since 2023 and is an active volunteer at a local NSCC unit.

INST Andy Dymek

Officer in Charge, Marine Mechanic

INST Andy Dymek is volunteer with the NSCC and is an engineer. He was formerly a marine mechanic.
