LT Gabe LaMartina, USCG

Commanding Officer

LT Gabe LaMartina, USCG has been in the Sea Cadet program first as a cadet and then as an officer in the NSCC. He has served as COTC of Small Boat Operations in Central, VA since it first started in 2013. In the Coast Guard, LT LaMartina was first a Boatswain’s Mate and then lateralled to Yeoman before attending OCS. As an officer, he has served primarily in Los Angeles and San Francisco.

MIDN Adilynn Walker, NROTC

Executive Officer

MIDN Adilynn Walker is a NROTC Midshipman at Virginia Tech. She attended Small Boat Operations since 2021, serving first as the Operations Officer, then later as the Executive Officer. 

 

MA2 Logan Wagher, USN

Operations Officer
MA2 Logan Wagher is currently serving active duty in the US Navy at Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach, CA. He holds a current designation as a Law Enforcement Specialist and holds special weapons and tactic training from his time serving on Special Reaction Team based in Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, HI. He is also former Sea Cadet from Virginia.

BM2 Nathan Spencer, USCG

Training Officer

BM2 Nathaniel Spencer is a Coast Guard Boatswain's Mate serving overseas in Bahrain. During his 4 years in the military, he has served on cutters and small boats. BM2 was a former cadet and has previously served on training staff as the Division and Operations Officer.

BM1 Kiran Rajaram, USCG

Assistant Training Officer

BM1 Kiran Rajaram is a Boatswain’s Mate in the Coast Guard currently serving at the Gulf Strike Team. Current duties involve humanitarian, CBRN, and environmental responses. He offers a wide variety of experience in underway operations, law enforcement, and mechanics. BM1 was involved in the Small Boats class held in Seal Beach, CA in 2019 and served as the OIC of Small Boats Training in 2021-2022.

INST William Farias, NSCC

Safety and 3rd Party Oversight Officer

INST William “Papi” Farias is involved with the Sea Cadets in North Carolina for over 13 years and has been involved in the Small Boats and RIVRON training for over 8 years. He is retired Coast Guard (Port Security) and is also a retired police officer. He currently serves as a local Town Commissioner and a GAL Volunteer.

LTJG Heather Turski, NSCC

Logistics Officer

LTJG Heather Turski has been involved in the NSCC since 2012 and has participated in multiple advanced trainings as an escort officer to include Small Boats, RIVRON, and League Cadet Orientation. She is a nurse in Central VA and serves in numerous capacities such as hospice, COVID Clinics, ICU, and ER.

INST Drew LaMartina, NSCC

Engineering Officer

INST Drew LaMartina was formerly in the Army as a medic and then in the VA Air National Guard in the field of Cyber Security. He was also a former Sea Cadet in Virginia and has been an adult volunteer since 2012. He has years of experience doing electronics and mechanical maintenance within industrial settings and on small engines.

INST James Hall, NSCC

Assistant Engineering Officer

James Hall currently works as an automotive mechanic and manufacturing technician in the nuclear field. He was a sea cadet for 5 years and attended small boats and RIVRON in 2016. He has years of mechanical repair experience in manufacturing, automotive, and marine fields. 

CDT Dominic Leahy, ROTC

Admin Officer

CDT Dominic Leahy is an Army ROTC Cadet at Northern Michigan University. He is a former USNSCC CPO and has been involved in Small Boat Operations since 2021. 

CAPT Enid Brackett, USN (Ret.)

Division Officer

Captain Enid S. Brackett (RET) primarily served as a Naval Aviator during her distinguished 25 years in the US Navy. She also served as a Navy Foreign Area Officer, serving in positions around the world. Captain Brackett was a former Cadet and currently serves as the Executive Officer of Alexandria Division.
